About the Designer
An accomplished Designer, Sheree Lee grew up in San Francisco and moved to New York City after graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design, where she received a BFA with the highest honors in Apparel Design. A talented women's Knitwear Designer and Creative Director with over twenty years of experience in the luxury apparel industry, Sheree is passionate about translating a concept into great design products.
A highly skilled, tactile, and innovative designer, Sheree was interested by the endless possibilities of using the pureness of natural fibers. Her love for organic cotton initiated the concept of a well curated and conceptual collection. Using natural fibers, Sheree creates unique fabric and stitches for an exquisitely merchandised children's collection. Her passion for heirloom techniques with the appreciation in traditional hand work established TANE's recognition as a highly sought after designer brand for children. Sheree's Asian heritage, in addition to her love for global design, rooted TANE's foundation as a modern international brand.
Sheree is dedicated to mentoring women artisans, and believes that sustainable design can change the infrastructure of impoverished communities. Her vision of collaborating with artisans in creative exchanges, as well as her hope to continue her efforts in both eco and social Initiatives, enables her business to successfully influence and engage in a positive, effective value chain.
Sheree currently lives in New York City, where the TANE design studio overlooks the iconic Flatiron building.
